Directions to the Sanctuary of the Heart
3 South Ajax Road, Daylesford
From the town of Daylesford
If you are coming from within the town of Daylesford (the shops), from the roundabout at the Post Office go toward the Western Freeway on the Ballan Road approximately 2 km. South Ajax Road will be on your left shortly after Victoria Park (which is on the right). (Note: South Ajax Road is not the same as Ajax Road in Daylesford).
The Sanctuary is at the corner of South Ajax Road and Ballan Road, almost directly across Ballan Road from
The Daylesford Inn.
The building is golden in colour, octagonal in shape, and made of rammed earth.
Directions from Melbourne/Western Highway
The Sanctuary is located at the intersection of the Ballan-Daylesford Road and South Ajax Road (Note: South Ajax Road is not the same as Ajax Road in Daylesford).
If coming from Melbourne, take the Western Highway toward Ballarat, and take the Ballan-Daylesford Road exit (which is the 2nd Ballan exit, the one after the service station). Turn right on Ballan-Daylesford Road toward Daylesford.
Drive approximately 28 km to Daylesford. When you get to the 60 km speed signs on the outskirts of Daylesford, you are near the Sanctuary of the Heart.
Prepare to turn right into South Ajax Road. It is the next road to the right after Huggett’s Lane.
Turn right into South Ajax Road, and the Sanctuary is right there on the left side of South Ajax Road. If you pass The Daylesford Inn or Victoria Park, you’ve gone just a bit too far.
The Sanctuary is almost directly across Ballan Road from The Daylesford Inn.
